Presentation and Hosting by Rod Kirk
The Bad News: Things are growing terribly messy in our oceans. The quality of the ocean and the health of those species who depend on the ocean are being significantly impacted.
The Good News: There are some wonderful people involved with some great projects to do something about it!
In todays meeting we will update you on one specific program, The Ocean Cleanup, which was founded by Boyan Slat. It is an incredible program which is about to get underway right here in the SF Bay Area. We will look at project changes, status, timelines, and the technology behind the program. There are some very interesting and informative videos that we will watch as well as engaging in some discussion.
If you have not been introduced to this problem and this specific program, be sure to attend and come away with some positive information!
