A Presentation By Mei-Ling Shek
This summer I taught an undergraduate course entitled “Energy and Environment” for the first time. I made only minor changes to the existing course objectives and description. But instead of using a textbook, I decided to create my own instruction material that is tailored to the subject matter and the schedule of the course. In this effort, I found Al Gore’s book “Our Choices” to be helpful in providing a framework. Teaching meant updating my own knowledge, and revisiting some topics I had not thought about for quite some time. In this presentation I will share some of the things I learned and re-learned.
