The Green Business Program is free for businesses and our staff will walk you through the process.

About The Presenters

nicole nguyen picNicole Nguyen is an Associate Management Analyst with the County of Santa Clara's Recycling and Waste Reduction Division.  She holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology from UCLA and a Master of Public Administration degree from Notre Dame de Namur University. She has been employed with the County for the past 3.5 years and has been the Green Business Coordinator for the last 2 years. She has assisted more than 175 businesses to achieve Green Business Certification and has worked directly with hundreds of other businesses within the County of Santa Clara providing free technical assistance to help businesses reduce their carbon footprint, lower their bottom line and operate more sustainably while becoming environmental champions in their community. Lisa Rose Pic smallerLisa Rose is a Senior Management Analyst with the County of Santa Clara’s Recycling and Waste Reduction Division.  She has worked for the County for nearly 17 years and has been the Green Business Coordinator for the last 13. In addition to her role as the Green Business Program Coordinator, Lisa also manages residential and commercial garbage contracts for three garbage districts in unincorporated Santa Clara County. She also manages contracts for countywide programs and projects including the Composting Education Program, Food Rescue Coordinator, County Recycling Hotline administered by San Jose State University and other ongoing projects.
