The statewide initiative we are planning will prohibit the most common mind damaging, cancer causing, birth defect causing chemicals in our bodies, food, water, soil, air, and creatures of the environment. It will prohibit aircraft and truck mounted pesticide foggings and the significant off-site drift they cause.

Remember the medfly Malathion aircraft spraying in this valley in 1980-82? Remember the Monterey-Santa Cruz plastic-bead-encased pesticide from aircraft fogging using the Light Brown Apple Moth "emergency" excuse? And remember the last 10 years of repeated summer pesticide fogging in Santa Clara County claiming a West Nile emergency?

When we discovered that the first pesticide they used (Pyrenone 25-5) contained cancer-causing piperonyl butoxide they switched to the even more toxic Zenivex E4. The Department of Agriculture is planning on endless toxic dousing for whatever new emergency they concoct. They have finalized their so-called Environmental Impact Report. So we must do an initiative now to stop this repeated poisoning.

In addition to toxic chemicals, our CLEAN initiative will also prohibits damaging emfs, other radiation, toxic chemicals in vaccines, micro particles so small they pass through cell walls, and GMOs. It builds on the California Prop 65 bio-testing and bio-testing by several organizations showing people have more than 300 toxic chemicals in their bodies, without their consent of course.

Penal Code Sections prohibit the spreading of toxic chemicals and Proposition 65 requires notice, but these have not been effective to stop or even slow the poisoning of our bodies, food and environment. Our initiative addresses toxic trespass as a violation of personal privacy, a felony and a tort without having to prove injury. We hope to submit our initiative for state review within a week. When they have given it a title and summary, we will be ready to begin signature gathering. It is difficult to do this on a volunteer basis. We will begin on that basis, but we hope to attract donations that will help us employ some of the signature gatherers and organizers.

Cheriel Jensen has Bachelor of Fine Arts in Architecture and a Masters of Architecture from U.C. Berkeley. She worked on the design of the C5A cargo airplane. She designed and built houses. She was a volunteer lobbyist on behalf of women for two years in Sacramento getting women and privacy written into the Constitution and adding women into the laws of California, 1970-72, which at the time did not even mention "women" or "people," just "men," except as it related to prostitution. She spent 18 years working as a city and a county planner, designing the urban limit lines for Santa Clara County and San Jose, and rezoning the hillsides and agricultural lands to protect the watersheds of this County and assure some near agricultural lands remain for when the fuels for easy transportation run out. She was on the Saratoga City Council when Saratoga protected the hillside from dense development. She has written and submitted two Amicus Briefs to the U.S. Supreme Court and worked on many political campaigns. In retirement she is engaged with the detox site on Yahoo and helps acutely poisoned people. Cheriel filed suit against Vector Control to stop the mass poisoning of our county on the excuse of the West Nile Virus. She is working on a statewide initiative to stop the massive poisoning we experience through the products we buy, our food, and environment.
