About the Presenter
Pamela Garcia is the CEO of Affordable Solar Roofs, an energy management company specializing in solar, roofing, and energy conservation. The company was founded in 1995. Pamela has been an active member of both the Morgan Hill and Gilroy Chamber of Commerce for over 16 years and a current member of the Campbell Chamber of Commerce and Morgan Hill Environmental Committee. She has previously served as co-coordinator of the South County Environmental Excellence Awards. Pamela is currently serving on the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and Heritage Bank Advisory Board and is a member of Rotary International. She was awarded Silicon Valley Women owned Business of the year, in 2009, at Google in Mt. View, CA.
Previous to Affordable Solar Roofs, she was an administrator in private post-secondary education for 15 years, served on national accreditation committees and was appointed to the State Job Training Co-coordinating Council under Governor Pete Wilson. She has a B.S Degree in Business Administration.
Pamela, and husband Richard of 42 years, reside in Gilroy. They have two children, five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. They are longtime members of the New Hope Community Church in Gilroy. Pamela participates in many local and national women's groups. Her hobbies are gardening, exercising, and mentoring her grandchildren.
